Admission
Admission from Nursery to Grade IX starts three weeks prior to the start of the new academic year. As most seats are already taken by current students, there will be limited places in other grades except Nursery.

Admission in Nursery
- Students must be over 2.5 years as of 15th January (Magh 1)
- Submission of previous school’s documents not necessary
Admission Process
- Receive application forms from the school office
- Submit application form with a passport-size photograph and academic and Transfer Certificates from previous school(s)
- School will inform the date and time of the admission test
- Student take the admission test
- Successful students’ parents will be contacted for admission
- Confirm admission: submit the following and pay the fees
- 2 colour passport-sized photos
- Attested copy of birth certificate
- Transfer Certificate (TC) from previous school for admission in Grade 4 onwards. (TC is not required for admission in Pre-Primary)
- Attested copy of Marksheet from previous school for admission in Grades LKG and above
Entrance Test
Nursery to Grade 3
Interactive assessment of a child will be made while accompanied by parents/guardians.
Grade 4 to 9
Written test on English, Maths, Science and Nepali followed by interview of the child.
Grade 11
Written test on English, Maths, (Science) and Nepali followed by interview of the child.
Note on admission and withdrawal
- Principal has the right to decide on the admission of a student at FIBSS
- Students who have attended other schools prior to admission at FIBSS must submit a Transfer Certificate (TC) from previous school
- Parents / Guardians responsible for the conduct of the child and obligation of the fees must present themselves before the Principal
- At least a month’s written notice is required to withdraw a child from the school
- All the fees have to be cleared to receive a Transfer Certificate or a Recommendation Letter
- Notwithstanding school policy, the Principal may at his/her discretion require any parents to take his/her child out of the school at any time
Scholarship
Merit Scholarships
Merit scholarships are awarded to students of each class section demonstrating outstanding academic performances.
Need-based Scholarships
Need-based scholarships are awarded to exceptionally talented students from disadvantaged and minority communities whose families cannot pay the fees.
Scholarship recipients are required to maintain their extra-ordinary academic performance and social conduct for its continuance.
Termination of Scholarships
Scholarship awards are discontinued if:
- information provided to the school on Scholarship Application is found to be incorrect and fraudulent
- awardee is irregular in attendance
- awardee fails to be promoted to the next class
- awardee is suspended for misconduct and ill behaviour
- awardee receives similar support from other organisations / individuals
